Summer Adventures- Osheaga/Montreal

Soo from July 31st to August 4th me and some of my good friends were in Montreal for Osheaga -- probably one of the biggest music festivals in Canada. It was my first legit festival asides from mini ones in Toronto and it definitely satisfied my expectations. 3 days of good music and all around good vibes. 

I have to say it was one of the highlights of my summer and i can't wait for next year!

Experimenting with film


I finally got around to developing these pictures that I took last summer! Talk about loafting...

I've been trying to get the knack of taking pictures with film… I just really like the imperfect quality it gives off. Last summer I was given a vintage Minolta SLR camera which I'm still getting used to. I don't have much experience shooting with film but I'm going to try my hardest to get better at it this summer. Also, some of these pictures have been taken on disposable cameras as well as the SLR. 

Anyways, here's my attempt at film.

Green drank recipe !!


So these past couple weeks I  finally gotten a new juicer (since we burnt through the last one..boo) and have been extensively trying to stick to a healthy regime. Home made juices always taste so fresh and it's like your body says thank you every time. To be honest, I have been feeling a lot better and alert, less sloth like  in the mornings  and can genuinely feel a good start to my day! 

This particular reciple is for detoxing, but I wouldn't mind drinking it any time, it has a kind of tangy yet subtly sweet taste..you can hardly taste the vegetable taste thanks to the ginger & lemon.

Here's what I used:

Celery- 4 stalks, leaves removed
Apple - 2
Lemon- 1/2, peeled
Ginger- 1 inch or so
Kale - a couple of leaves (didn't exactly measure, let's say a handful)
1 Cucumber

You can always alter the measurements to your taste and preference or add more apple for sweetness. 

Be sure to give it a good stir/shake before drinking...
